NOTICE AS TO PROPOSED BUDGET

Notice is hereby given that the Board of Directors of the Colorado River Water Conservation District and the Board of Directors of The Colorado River Water Projects Enterprise will hold their Fourth Regular Quarterly Meetings in the Hotel Colorado, 526 Pine Street, Glenwood Springs, Colorado. 

The budget hearings will begin with the General Fund on Tuesday, October 16, 2007 no earlier than 11:00 a.m.  The Enterprise Fund Budget will begin on Wednesday, October 17, 2007 no earlier than 11:00 a.m.  At these meetings, the proposed 2008 budgets and the amended 2007 budgets will be considered.  Copies of such proposed and amended budgets have been filed in the District's offices at 201 Centennial Street, Suite #200, Glenwood Springs, CO where same are open for public inspection, Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and at the County Commissioners offices of the counties listed below.  Any interested elector, within such District, may at any time prior to the final adoption of the budgets, file or register his or her objections and/or comments for Board consideration.             The District was organized by special statute enacted in 1937 by the Colorado State Legislature.  It is charged with the duty of conserving, developing and safeguarding water resources within its boundaries.  The District is comprised of Delta, Eagle, Garfield, Grand, Gunnison, Mesa, Rio Blanco, Moffat, Pitkin, Routt, Ouray, Summit and those parts of Montrose, Hinsdale and Saguache Counties lying within the Gunnison River Basin, State of Colorado.
