Muddy Creek, 5 miles north of Kremmling, in Grand County, Colorado.

STORAGE:
66,000 acre feet when full.

SURFACE AREA:
1,550 acres

COST:
$42 million for construction, design, permitting, mitigation and land acquisition

WATER USAGE:


• Western Slope Usage 60%
• Eastern Slope Usage 40% (Water stays on the West Slope but mitigates water diverted out of priority to the Eastern Slope).


CONSTRUCTION FINANCING:



Although usage is shared by the West and East Slope of Colorado,
Wolford Mountain's construction was completely financed with funds
from Colorado's East Slope.
