Anglers enjoy year-round fishing opportunities at Wolford Mountain Reservoir. As the reservoir has matured, so have the plentiful stock of rainbow trout, cutbow trout and splake.
Summer boating proves very productive in all areas of the reservoir especially the inlet and coves; fishing near the dam has consistently been good. Shore fishermen do as well as boaters when casting out and landing 14" to 16" trout using a variety of lures.
Winter camping info: For winter season reservations, call (970) 724-3460. The campground is partially open for self-contained vehicles. Electrical hook-ups are available, but sanitary hook-ups are not. Cost is $10/ night.
Fly fishermen enjoy excellent fishing below the dam and the River District maintains several access spots. Be sure to stop by the Fishin' Hole in Kremmling to find out what fly is hot at the time of your visit.
